South Rim View Points and Hiking Trails
Set out for sightseeing tours, star gazing, ranger guided interpretive walks, and explorations of native dancing when you stroll along the hiking trails and overlooks scattered along the canyon's South Rim. There are over 19 points at which you can stop and take in the breathtaking scenery at the South Rim just moments away from the hotel. Among these are highlights that shouldn't be missed, including central viewpoints like Mather Point and Yaki Point, as well as western viewpoints like Pima Point and Mohave Point. For those planning on an overnight hike, you will need to contact the Back County office for a permit.
