There are over 19 points at which you can stop and take in the breathtaking scenery at the South Rim just moments away from the hotel.
 
Among these are highlights that shouldn't be missed, including central viewpoints like Mather Point and Yaki Point, as well as western viewpoints like Pima Point and Mohave Point. For those planning on an overnight hike, you will need to contact the Back County office for a permit.

  • What are the famous viewpoints at the south rim?

    Some of the more famous viewpoints along the Grand Canyon's South Rim include central points like Mather Point, Yavapai Point, and Yaki Point, where you can take in the spectacular sunrise. Pima Point is the western most viewpoint on the South Rim and offers a great view of the Colorado River below. Staying hydrated and energized is essential when hiking through the canyon in the arid climate.
