River Rafting Tours in the Grand Canyon

From March through October, exploring the Grand Canyon by boat is a favorite excursion for visitors. For the Smooth Water Rafting Tour you will be picked up at the hotel at 6:00am and returned at 6:30pm. For the Canyon River Adventure you will need to take a short one-mile drive to Grand Canyon National Airport for the start of your trip. .

RIVER RAFTING TOURS

Smooth Water Rafting: This is a calm water trip, on inflatable rafts with aluminum frames, powered by an outbooard engine.  You will be picked up at Canyon Plaza Resort around 6AM to start your journey to Page, Arizona.  Your trip begins at the base of Glen Canyon Dam for a 15.5 mile (approximately 4-hour) smooth water float trip on the Colorado River (picnic style meal will be served on the river).  Your float trip ends at historic Lee's Ferry where you will be met by coaches or vans and transferred back to the Grand Canyon via the Navajo Indian Reservation and East Rim Drive.  Depending on the weather, it is recommended to dress comfortably and in layers. Bring plenty of film, a hat and sunscreen.
